Almost every pilgrim wants to bring Zamzam home for family. Here is how it works.
Zamzam allowance
- Most airlines allow one 5-litre Zamzam carton per pilgrim on flights from Saudi Arabia.
- It must be the sealed official carton — buy it at the airport or official outlets.
- Zamzam is not allowed inside your suitcase.
Baggage tips
- Check your ticket — many Umrah fares include 2 × 23kg.
- Weigh suitcases before going to the airport.
- Dates, prayer mats and gifts add weight quickly!
